  Bernie's is a great place. Their pre- fixe dinner has some delicious pairings. Music in the lounge and elegant quiet dining room. We'll be back again.

  A year after its reopening in their new location in Rancho Mirage, I finally decided to give Bernie's a try for dinner with out of town guests. I've been to their "Happy Hour" before but had held back on dining there as I'd heard some poor reviews from locals in Rancho Mirage. Knowing it always takes some time for even an established restaurant to "get into their groove" in a new location with new staff, I made dinner reservations. We all enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in a very long time and enjoyed impeccable service from our server - Kristine - and all other staff. The prime rib was exceptionally well done and while I thought I'd be unable to eat all of just the significant "smaller portion" - I couldn't help myself. It was just perfect! My dining companions enjoyed the prime rib and what I've been told is one of Bernie's "signature dishes" - their bacon wrapped meat loaf topped with a fried egg. I'm happy to say that the unfavorable reviews I heard are a thing of the past, that Bernie's has found their "groove" in Rancho Mirage, and I look forward to returning again for more special evenings of great food and exceptional service!
